Exciting Updates for Oedipus Revenant:

We have a Cast!

Thanks to everyone who tried out! And thanks to our amazing cast for a great first week of rehearsal! This week we held a Cast Read-Through in (faux) firelight, blocked a sacrifice, and we dug up (no pun intended) historical facts and rumors about the lives of ancient Greek women, types of Spartan and Athenian rulers, and the different hallmarks of age - for those actors playing characters older or younger than they are.

We have a Venue!

Thanks to our new friend Jay, we've nailed down the haunting venue - The Warehouse - for our performances. The Warehouse is perfect for our set design in the semi-round and comes complete with a sound system, stage, dressing room, tech booth, and ambiance! (Stay tuned for pictures of the space!)

We have the Money!

Thanks to our new friend, who chooses to remain unnamed for now (We call him "The Gatherer"), we now have access to many different props and costumes for free! This cuts our budget down a lot - not to mention our costumer's workload.
In The Warehouse we have found an affordable venue complete with a sound system and lights, which also lowers our budget.

We're on the look out for a few more extras to play Infected Thebans - the ancient Greek equivalent of modern-day zombies.

We're also recruiting a few more Royal Sentries - ancient Greek soldiers who get to engage in choreographed sword fights on stage.
